Blog #2: Entrepreneurial Mind 1st Episode
Entrepreneurial mind seems to be a mode of thinking that allows you to overcome obstacles, make decisions, and take control of your results. It's necessary that you keep improving your abilities, learning from your failures, and putting your ideas into action. These past few days we are busy choosing a problem for our venture proposal as a part of this Entrepreneurial Journey. We are exchanging a different ideas for our Venture Proposal. As a group, we need to team-up for us to have a good idea in making the task provided. Our first problem that we've submitted has been rejected and we need to come up with another idea. So as a team, we are going to continue for us to learn and explore more about this Entrepreneurial Mind. It is normal to be rejected as what we can reflect to the Great business man, Colonel Sandres, KFC. As we have learn in the discussion, he is very successful this time without knowing how hard he experienced before he commit that success. And as for the information of everybody, his fried chicken recipe was rejected 1009 times, before a restaurant accepted it. So as a student, it is one of the best inspiration for us to strive harder not just for our future plans and preparation for the future but also to achieve our dreams.
As an entrepreneur, we should not put ourselves in the point that we're selling something that doesn't fit to the market. Customer validation is very important. But first and foremost, we should know what are the behavior patterns of Entrepreneurs. One thing that struct me most, is the one of the behavior patters of Entrepreneurs, the "Pay it forward. It means, you don't expect anything in return. If you help others, don't expect anything in return directly, but instead you want them to help the others to return the help you gave them.
Moreover, in entrepreneurship, you need to treat others what they want to be treated. You need to know their world. But one thing to remember, just be resilient, if there's a lot of hurdles, there's also no reason to surrender and to stop fighting.
"The biggest hurdle is rejection. Any business you start, be ready for it. The difference between successful people and unsuccessful people is the successful people do all the things the unsuccessful people don't want to do. When ten doors slammed on your face, go to the number 11 enthusiastically, with a smile on your face."
